Bachelorette, Birthday and Group Parties in Rapid City: Host Yours at Urban Glow Candle Co.

Planning a bachelorette, birthday or girls' night in Rapid City? Skip the usual dinner reservation and give your group something to make together. At Urban Glow Candle Co., everyone pours a custom candle and goes home with a keepsake.

How it works

Each guest chooses a vessel, blends a fragrance from 60+ clean scents, and pours their own candle. Then they design a custom label on their phone. Add the bride's name, the birthday date or an inside joke with any photo in your camera roll. We print and place the labels for you.

Plan for about 1 to 1.5 hours of pouring. Candles take about 2 hours to cool, so you can explore downtown Rapid City and come back same day (if not the last reservation of the day).

Groups under 10

Smaller groups can book together through our regular candle-pouring experience at no extra fee. You'll have workstations reserved side by side while sharing the studio with other guests.

Want the place to yourselves? Upgrade to a private event for a $150 studio fee, which includes 2 hours of exclusive use.

Groups of 10 or more

With 10 or more pouring guests, the private studio is included at no extra rental fee. Your event includes:

  • 2 hours of exclusive studio use
  • Dedicated staff for your group
  • Up to 20 candle-pouring workstations
  • A custom label for every candle
  • An optional custom slideshow on our projector

Groups larger than 20 may rotate through workstations.

Food, drinks and decor

Beer and wine are available for purchase. You're welcome to bring outside food and non-alcoholic drinks (a $25 cleanup fee applies when food comes in). Free-standing decor is welcome, but please skip confetti, glitter, outside candles and wall adhesives.

What it costs

Each guest pays only for the candle they make: Small $29.99, Medium $39.99, Large $49.99 or XL $59.99.
