What to Expect
Choose your vessel, pick your fragrance, and pour your candle in a relaxed, self-guided experience — then scan a QR code to design your custom label right from your phone or choose from a selection of pre-printed designs in the studio.
We’re always refreshing our vessel wall, so expect new styles, textures, and colors with every visit. Candles take about two hours to cool — you're welcome to stay and sip, or come back later to pick it up.
We’ll print and place your label for you, so your finished candle is ready when you return.
Our team is always nearby to offer support, suggest fragrance pairings, and answer any questions along the way.

Want to personalize your candle? Every candle includes the option to design your own label — or skip it entirely.
Personalize your candles by uploading photos of loved ones, your favorite places, or even your company logo. You can also add a unique QR code to link to a playlist, special message, or website.

Prefer a minimal look? You can opt out and enjoy a clean, label-free finish.

How long does it take?
Plan for about 1–1.5 hours to choose your vessel, blend your scent, pour, and design your label. Your candle then needs about 2 hours to cool before it’s ready to take home.
Can I take my candle home the same day?
Usually! Your candle needs about 2 hours to cool, so you’re welcome to stay and enjoy a drink while it sets, or explore downtown and come back while we’re still in the studio. If you have one of the last reservations of the day, plan to pick it up another time: we’re always here Saturdays and Sundays from 1–5 PM, or during any time we have reservations booked (call or text (605) 519-8820 to check). We’ll print and place your label so it’s ready when you return.
Do I need a reservation?
Yes. We’re open 7 days a week by reservation, with time slots every half hour from 11 AM to 6:30 PM plus select evenings. It’s free to book, and you pay for your candle in the studio. Online booking closes 2 hours before each time slot. For same-day availability, call or text (605) 519-8820.
How much does it cost?
There’s nothing to pay or decide when you book. When you arrive, we’ll walk you through your options and you’ll pick your candle in the studio. Candles range from $29.99 for a Small to $59.99 for an XL (plus tax), and every candle includes your vessel, fragrance blend, and custom label. Want to treat yourself? Upgrade to a luxury fragrance for $4 or add a lid for $5.
What’s your cancellation policy?
Cancel or reschedule for free at least 24 hours before your reservation. Changes within 24 hours and no-shows are subject to a $20 per-person fee.
Do I need any experience?
Not at all! The pour is self-guided and simple, and our team is always nearby to help with fragrance pairings and questions. Prefer not to pour? Make your selections in the studio and we’ll pour it for you and let you know when it’s ready.
How many scents can I choose from?
More than 60, covering every fragrance category: fresh, floral, fruity, cozy and seasonal, plus hotel-inspired scents, designer perfume–inspired scents and essential oils. Blend up to 3 fragrances to create a scent that’s all your own.
Can I bring food or drinks?
Beer and wine are available for purchase in the studio, and you’re welcome to bring your own non-alcoholic drinks. Outside food and catering are welcome for private events, with a $25 cleanup fee.
Can I bring a group?
Yes! Groups under 10 can book together through our regular reservations at no extra cost. You’ll have workstations together while sharing the studio with other guests. Groups of 10 or more get the whole studio for 2 hours with no rental fee. Request a Private Event →
Is the studio accessible?
Yes! Our studio and restroom are wheelchair accessible. For step-free access, park in the alley behind our building and come in through the back entrance. Call or text (605) 519-8820 when you arrive and we’ll meet you at the door.
Can I use a gift card in the studio?
Yes! Urban Glow Candle Co. gift cards can be used in the studio and online, and they’re valid for 1 year from the purchase date. Shop Gift Cards →

Can I refill my candle when it’s done?
